These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of this website and the information, tools, data, and services made available through it (collectively, the "Platform"). By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

1. Nature of the Platform

EV Hub is an information and research platform. We provide reference material about importing Chinese electric vehicles (EVs), including estimated landed-cost breakdowns, model and brand data, technology definitions, comparison tools, and educational guides. We are not a vehicle dealer, broker, importer, or financial advisor. We do not sell vehicles, and we do not act on behalf of any manufacturer, exporter, or government body.

The Platform is operated by Chengguang Energy (Jinzhou Chengguang Power Source Co., Ltd.). Unless otherwise stated, no affiliation, endorsement, or sponsorship by any vehicle manufacturer or importer is implied by the inclusion of their name, product, or data on this Platform.

Vehicle data and model pages. Specifications, prices, range figures, and other model data shown on the Platform are compiled from public sources, manufacturer publications, and third-party listings. We do not operate, test, or inspect any vehicle, and we do not verify the accuracy of manufacturer or supplier claims. Model data may reflect the China-market specification, may differ from export variants, and may change at any time without notice.

2. Informational Purposes Only

All content on the Platform is provided for general informational purposes only and:

Does not constitute professional, legal, tax, customs, financial, or investment advice
Should not be relied upon as a substitute for advice from a qualified professional
May become outdated, as tariffs, duties, prices, regulations, and vehicle specifications change frequently
Is provided "as is" without any guarantee of accuracy, completeness, or timeliness

Nothing on the Platform is an offer, quote, solicitation, or commitment to sell, import, or finance any vehicle. Any transaction you enter into with a third party found through the Platform is solely between you and that third party.

3. Landed-Cost Estimates and Tools

The landed-cost calculator, the comparison tool, and all estimated cost figures on the Platform are approximate, illustrative calculations intended to help you understand the potential components of an import transaction. They are reference estimates, not quotes, offers, or predictions. Actual costs depend on factors we cannot know, including current exchange rates, customs rulings, your exact vehicle configuration, freight conditions, and applicable duties and taxes at the time of import. You must verify all figures with the relevant customs authority, importer, or qualified professional before making any purchasing or import decision. Detailed limitations are set out in our Disclaimer, and the assumptions behind each cost line are documented in our landed-cost methodology.

Tax rates change. Countervailing duties, import duties, and VAT/GST rates — in particular the EU's countervailing duty on Chinese EVs, which has changed materially and repeatedly — are policy instruments, not constants. Any rate shown on the Platform is a snapshot, and a tool result generated from an outdated rate is an outdated result. Re-check the current rate at the time of import.

4. No Purchase, Payment, or Account

The Platform does not itself act as a vehicle dealer, importer, customs broker, or legal/tax adviser, and does not process payments or require an account. If you make contact with a vehicle supplier, dealer, or importer through information found on this Platform, any resulting transaction is solely between you and that third party — EV Hub is not a party to it.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to, interfere with, or disrupt the Platform or its systems
Use automated means (scripts, scrapers, bots) to harvest or extract content at scale in a way that degrades the Platform or violates these Terms
Misrepresent the Platform's content, distortions, or present our estimates as guarantees
Introduce malicious code, viruses, or other harmful material
Remove or alter attribution, provenance, or license notices attached to our content or data

Machine-readable access for search engines and AI assistants is permitted as described in our llms.txt file and our Data Compliance policy.

6. Intellectual Property and Data License

Unless otherwise indicated, the Platform and all original content on it — including text, graphics, logos, data compilations, and original tables — are owned by or licensed to us and protected by applicable copyright and intellectual-property laws.

Third-party data: Vehicle names, brand names, logos, and specifications belong to their respective owners and are used for identification and reference purposes only. Their mention does not imply endorsement.

Our machine-readable data: The structured datasets published at our /data/ endpoints (vehicles, brands, tariffs) are released under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International license (CC BY 4.0), as stated in each dataset's license field. You may use, adapt, and redistribute that data — including commercially — provided you give appropriate credit, link to the license, and indicate if changes were made. This license does not cover the editorial articles, prose, or page design, which remain subject to the general copyright terms above and our Copyright and Takedown Policy.

You may view, download, and print editorial content from the Platform for your personal, non-commercial use only. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or commercially exploit editorial content without our prior written consent. Full detail on permitted reuse is in the Copyright and Takedown Policy.

7. Third-Party Links and Services

The Platform may contain links to third-party websites and services. We do not control, and are not responsible for, the content, privacy practices, or terms of those third parties. Your use of any third-party website or service is at your own risk and subject to that third party's own terms and policies.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE PLATFORM AND ALL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR ACCURACY. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE PLATFORM WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, EV HUB, ITS OPERATOR, AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES — OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY — ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF, OR RELIANCE ON, THE PLATFORM OR ITS CONTENT. THIS LIMITATION APPLIES WHETHER THE CLAIM IS BASED IN CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law (such as liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability under mandatory consumer-protection law). Where liability can be limited but not excluded, our aggregate liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless EV Hub, its operator, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in connection with your use of the Platform, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

11. Changes to the Platform and These Terms

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Platform, in whole or in part, at any time without notice. We may also update these Terms from time to time by posting the revised version on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. For material changes, we will make a reasonable effort to draw attention to them (for example, via a notice on the site). Your continued use of the Platform after any such change constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of China, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Jinzhou, China.

Before initiating formal proceedings, we encourage you to contact us at [email protected] to seek an informal resolution. Nothing in this section limits any right you may have under mandatory consumer-protection law to bring a claim in the courts of your place of residence.

13. General Provisions

Entire Agreement: These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Platform.
Severability: If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect.
Waiver: Our failure to enforce any provision shall not be deemed a waiver of that or any other provision.
Assignment: You may not assign or transfer your rights under these Terms without our prior written consent.
